Hello {{first_name}},

Something happened recently that I want to share with you. Because it is exactly the kind of proof I think matters most.

You have heard me mention Dr. Katie Marrie a couple of times now. She is our Chief Veterinary Officer here at Santa Barbara Humane. She has performed over 50,000 surgeries in her career. She leads nine veterinarians across two campuses and a mobile clinic. She holds a DVM and a Master of Science. She teaches at the University of Florida. And she walks into work every morning with a green juice and makes her husband take turmeric with black pepper before he leaves the house.

She practices what she preaches. And she does not put her name behind anything she has not gone through with a fine-tooth comb.

When VitaDog Nutrition first came across my desk, she was the first person I brought it to. She went through the formulation ingredient by ingredient. She asked hard questions. She wanted to understand why the oil was kept separate from the powder, why certain co-factors were included, and whether the absorption method actually held up. That is just who she is.

She approved it for our organization. That alone was significant.

But then she did something I genuinely did not expect. She went home and subscribed for her own dog.

"Anything that is not going to be damaging is worth trying. When I can recommend something that I know has never caused an issue, that is really nice. We could try this, and if that works, then we do not have to worry about all these other things. I think a lot of our clients really appreciate that. They do not want to be giving a medication if they could add a supplement that is going to make the difference."

That is what real proof looks like to me. Not a paid endorsement. Not a sponsored post. The chief veterinary officer of a 138-year-old humane organization reviews the science, gives the green light, and then puts her own money behind it for her own dog at home. When the person who could recommend anything in the world chooses this one for her own family, I think that says everything.

I have one more thing I want to share with you. It might change how you think about the bottles sitting under your sink right now.

P.S. Dr. Katie also told me she keeps a journal to track changes when she starts anything new for her dog. Her advice: document what you see. A month later you will be glad you did.
